Tamil is a language only next to Sanskrit when it comes to divinity. Although it is said to follow the Dravidian script and not Devanagiri, which Sanskrit does, it is the next most ancient language of the world and one of the best, as its people would acknowledge.

Tamil Literature and Tamil language experts would know very well how many divine texts and medicinal books have been written in this language. It is said that Lord Hanuman was originally born in Tamil Nadu and Tamil was his first language. His birthplace, Anjaneri, as per sources is located in Maharashtra, however Tamils and other south Indians consider Suseendram or Suchindram as the place where he was born.

As per Wikipedia,
